| Bernadette Aline Robertson is a self-taught painter, intrigued by exploring the properties of light and texture using oils and acrylics. A published writer, Bernadette strives to communicate feelings and emotions through visual and language media. These emotions speak not only to the individual, but also to the universal thoughts and experiences of us all. Bernadette has been a writer practically all her life, and has been painting as a professional visual artist since 2000. Bernadette says, “Two-dimensional work is an exciting and completely natural step in finding another outlet for my creativity. The canvas and the paint become another way to connect with people, visually and emotionally… I am blessed and rewarded each time someone tells me that I have given them a new perspective on the beauty and complexity of things in our world. “I begin by noticing beauty in the form, light and depth of objects, scenes, people or the environment. My painting is an effort to communicate what I feel, bringing the viewer with me to a place where we share the same moment–either of appreciation or awareness.” Bernadette’s art is in many collections, and this includes art collections in California, across the United States and recently, internationally. |  |
